Cities are clusters of stone — walls, towers, and the occasional shield. A knight (a folk on a city segment) holds it until the city is fully walled in.
When the city is complete
A city is complete when every edge is closed by walls — no open city sides anywhere in the cluster. Whoever holds it scores:
- 2 points per tile in the city, plus
- 2 points per pennant (the little shield) inside it.
Then the knight comes home and is yours to place again.
The 2-tile city house rule
Some groups score the smallest possible city (just two tiles closed on themselves) at only 2 total points instead of 4. Toggle it on in Settings if your table prefers that variant — the live scoring form will follow your choice.
Incomplete cities at end of game
Cities that never got finished still score, but at a kinder rate:
- 1 point per tile plus
- 1 point per pennant.
You won't enter these mid-game — the End-game wizard will walk you through every leftover city, one player at a time.
Sharing a city
Sometimes two cities merge and end up with knights from different players. When that happens, the player with the most folks in the city takes the full score; ties mean every leader scores the full amount. Use the manual entry if you need to record a tied city.
