Roads

Roads are the simplest feature on the board — and a good place to put a folk you want back quickly. A folk on a road is a thief.

When a road is complete

A road is complete when both of its ends are closed. An end counts as closed when it runs into any of these:

  • A city.
  • A crossroads (a tile where three or four roads meet).
  • A cloister tile.
  • A dead-end / city wall on the tile itself.

The thief who holds the road scores 1 point per tile the road covers, then comes home.

Incomplete roads at end of game

A road that never closes still pays out at the same rate — 1 point per tile — at end of game. The wizard will collect these for you.

Sharing a road

Like cities, two roads can merge and end up with multiple thieves. Whoever has the most folks on the finished road scores it. Ties score the full amount for every leader.
